  1. damn, reminds me of the robbie robertson tracks on ‘the basement tapes’.

  2. reminds me of McCartney, maybe a little Billy Joel. i dig the lead guitar parts and the verses, but i feel like the chorus doesn’t satisfy. it’s too much like the verse, with similar vocal delivery and piano part. and it’s only two chords. (and no drums.) it doesn’t seem dynamic enough to me. maybe a more sophisticated chord progression and/or melodic change for the chorus would work better.

  4. The opening guitar is awesome. The vocals sounded a little too rappy for my taste…

  5. Wow. I love the wide range of comparisons, from Robbie Robertson to rap. Anyone else want to weigh in?

  6. I like the astronomy references – I have long joked that I’d name my daughter Phosphor. I don’t hear the rap reference other than the teensiest bit of staccato to the vocals. I like it, I would love to hear the vocals delivered (?how do I describe this?) with a more round, relaxed throat and palate – to my ear, there’s a forced, tangy, Billy Joel-esque quality to the delivery, which drew my attention away from the nice guitar work. grown up and rounded out, I think this could be a groovy tune.
