I spent over 4 hours — more than a third of my session — fussing with this first track. It’s also twice as long as any other song I wrote later that day.

I like this. seems more “original” than many of the other recordings. I imagine this song recorded at little faster tempo and fully flushed out, I think it would be very promising.

has the phrasing and feeling for the beginnings of a great breakup song, but i’m not sure about the punch-line pun in the chorus.
