poster for show at El Rio, 31 July 2010This Saturday, July 31, 2010, B and Not B will be kicking off a rock & roll BBQ at El Rio.  We play first, while the sun is still shining — 3PM!

Hungry for rock and roll?
Along with free burgers and veggie burgers (plus some sides), there will be FIVE awesome bands on hand to satisfy your appetite. Enjoy being rocked al fresco.

New songs from the next record
After this show, we’ll be taking a couple of months off to finish our new record. Our latest songs rock a little harder, last a little longer, and have a slightly more complex flavor, but the sugar remains.

Farewell, Jamie
Jamie Osborne is hard to pin down. He left us for a year to live and work in India, and now he’s off to Boston for grad school. We’ll miss him and his processed keyboard hijinks. Catch him this one last time before he’s gone.

Have you downloaded our first record yet?

Poster by Micke TongWho needs a reason to celebrate?
Well, we’ve got one if you need one. Our first record is finally available, and we’ve worked hard on it. Come celebrate with us! There will be great people to hang with and some special treats. And you can leave with our CD in your hands. (We’ve got some pretty nice t-shirts, too.)

New tunes to debut
Even as we celebrate this record release, we’re already working on recording some more songs. Look for us to debut 3 or 4 of them at the show. Dusty sings some lead. And Jamie Osborne is back on keys!

Get tickets now! The last show we played at Café du Nord sold out.

The Thingers kick it off at 9pm sharp. B and Not B takes the stage at 10pm. Mist and Mast will go on around 11pm. See you there!

It was a warm, sunny autumn day in San Francisco, and we decided to spend it driving around town in the back of a van full of hot amps. The things we do for rock! Brad Robertson put together this awesome video from footage shot of us playing all around the Mission.

Read responses in Mission Mission, SFist, Stranger Dance, The Bay Bridged, and Deli Magazine.

Dusty sang some middle-of-the-night cover songs at the Econolodge in Ashland, OR. The music swung from Madonna to Zeppelin to VU. The players were sleepy. The neighbors were (hopefully) blissfully ignorant of the concert they were missing.
